The campaign

A global mission, delivered close to home

A Million Visions is a worldwide World Sight Day initiative led by IAPB to give a million children an eye examination. In Malaysia, HOYA MiYOSMART brings it to families through our network of trained partner practices.

Every child registered is seen by a practising optical professional at an established practice, not a pop-up booth, and looked after long after the campaign ends.

Registration is open from 8 to 21 October 2026. The eye screenings themselves take place on 23, 24, 25, 30 and 31 October and 1 November. The gap gives your practice time to call and confirm your appointment.

Yes. The eye examination and consultation are fully sponsored under A Million Visions. There is no purchase obligation of any kind. *Terms and conditions apply.

Children aged 4 to 12. Multiple children from the same family are welcome. Just note the number when you register.

A registered optometrist at a participating MiYOSMART partner practice. All participating practices work with paediatric vision and myopia management as part of their everyday practice.

A full eye examination followed by a consultation. The professional will assess your child’s vision, identify any issues, explain what is causing them, and recommend the most suitable next steps, including whether correction is needed.

Your chosen practice will call you directly to confirm the date and time. If a preferred day is full, they will offer you the closest alternative within the campaign period.

The optometrist will explain the findings and recommend the lens type best suited to your child. Any purchase decision after that is entirely yours. The screening and consultation are free regardless.

Usually around 30 minutes, and up to an hour if your child needs a fuller assessment. The consultation is included in that time.
